Wells Fargo & YMCA Support Children & Literacy

We can’t do it alone. Thanks to community partnerships, our YMCA is able to serve the children who need us most.

We are honored to announce that the Wells Fargo Foundation supported children in the Triangle region through a $75,000 gift to the YMCA’s Academic Support programs.

The Y helps bridge educational divides through after-school tutorial programs. With a focus on lessening summer learning loss, YMCA Camp High Hopes utilizes a literacy curriculum with a prescribed learning model led by certified teachers. These programs help meet the Foundation’s goals by transforming educational systems for success. Students participate in in YMCA Academic Support programs at little or no cost thanks to generous corporate partners like Wells Fargo.

COMMITMENT TO COMMUNITY

Wells Fargo is committed to building an inclusive, sustainable recovery for all through a focus on opening pathways to economic advancement. The Foundation supports racially and ethnically diverse and low income and moderate-income individuals and families through programs that increase financial inclusion and access, reduce debt, drive savings and wealth-building behavior, and transform systems that provide a better context within which people lead their financial lives.
